Crisis Services

Meridian’s Crisis Services offers a full emergency screening staff who perform evaluations and crisis intervention for adults and children 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year at our Crisis Stabilization Units, located in Gainesville (Alachua County) and Lake City (Columbia County).

Crisis Services address the needs of those facing an acute episode of psychiatric illness or substance use disorder. Upon evaluation, crisis counseling may lessen the acuity, permitting referral to traditional or intensive outpatient care, or may result in admission to fully-staffed, medically-supervised, in-patient services.

Mobile Response Teams (MRTs) The MRT program is designed to respond to those experiencing crisis at your locations within Baker, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Suwannee, and Union counties, who are in need of 24/7 crisis intervention services.
Crisis Stabilization Units Meridian’s Crisis Stabilization Units (CSUs) provide short-term stabilization for crisis and serious mental health issues for adults (40 beds) and children (10 beds).
Addictions Receiving Facility Meridian’s Addictions Receiving Facility (ARF) provides evaluation and treatment to those struggling with substance use difficulties no matter their drug of choice nor their status, voluntarily seeking services or Marchman Act.
