Prevention Services

Prevention aims to address risk factors for mental developing health or substance use challenges. Prevention also includes educating the community on mental health through our Mental Health First Aid education training. This eight-hour course is evidence-based and gives members of the public key skills to support  someone with a mental health condition or experiencing a crisis (depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, substance use, and suicide prevention).

Mental Health First Aid Similar to First Aid and CPR for medical emergencies, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trains participants to identify and respond with a 5-step action plan to potential mental illness or substance use disorders until appropriate professional help can arrive.
School-Based Education Our team can teach any evidence-based curriculum focused on preventing youth substance use and destigmatizing mental health topics.
