Meridian Insurance and Billing Options
Payment Options
We make paying for services simple and flexible. In addition, you can pay securely online through this website or in person.
For those who qualify, indigent care is available through our partnerships with the Florida Department of Children & Families (DCF), LSF Health Systems (under DCF oversight), local County Commissions, and other contracted community agencies. We also offer income-based payment options and accept:
- Commercial insurance
- Disability benefits
- Medicare
- Medicaid (including managed care plans and Medipass)
Not sure what you qualify for? Our Financial Counselors can review eligibility requirements and help you explore assistance programs. We also offer flexible payment plans. If all other options have been exhausted, Meridian provides a limited amount of uncompensated care for those without the ability to pay.
Health Insurance
You and your referral source are responsible for obtaining any required authorizations from your insurance provider. Your insurance plan determines your co-pay amount.
As a courtesy, our staff will provide you with an estimate of your financial responsibility before your visit. Co-pays and deductible balances are due at the time of service. Any previous balance must also be paid unless you have a documented payment plan with a Financial Counselor or our Fiscal Department. Unpaid balances may be referred to collections.

If your insurance isn’t listed, we may still be able to obtain approval for your care. Therefore, for details about coverage or fees, call our Access Center at (352) 374-5600, option 2 for new clients.
Medicaid Plans
We accept:
- Medipass (Medicaid)
- Managed Medicaid Plans: Prestige, WellCare, UnitedHealthcare, Sunshine
Private Pay
If you’re paying out of pocket, fees are due at the time of service. Previous balances must also be paid unless you have a documented payment plan. Unpaid balances without active arrangements will be referred to collections.

Meridian serves all patients—regardless of ability to pay. Discounts for essential services are available based on family size and income. Please reach out to learn more.

Meridian Healthcare affirms that no funds from the Department of Children & Families contracts LD216, LH873, or LH880 are allocated for executive compensation, as defined in § 216.1366, FS. Additionally, the Board of Directors serves entirely on a voluntary basis and receives no compensation.
