Addictions Receiving Facility

Meridian’s Addictions Receiving Facility (ARF) provides evaluation and treatment to those struggling with substance use difficulties no matter their drug of choice nor their status, voluntarily seeking services or Marchman Act.

Meridian’s Addictions Receiving Facility (ARF) provides evaluation and treatment to those struggling with substance use difficulties no matter their drug of choice nor their status, voluntarily seeking services or Marchman Act. Medically-supervised  detoxification is available for those who are likely to experience significant withdrawal from alcohol, benzodiazepines, heroin and pain pills such as hydrocodone, oxycodone morphine and codeine.

All ARF services are relatively short term, with an emphasis on safe withdrawal, reducing discomfort and education to encourage movement along the treatment continuum. Discharge Planners work with the clients closely to ensure a safe discharge whether that be to a longer term substance use treatment facility, sober living home, an ALF, home or some other type of independent living environment. The choice to live a drug-free life is often a series of choices and relapses. Meridian’s ARF offers a non-judgmental approach to helping clients explore difficulties relating to their substance use and its consequences.
