About NSP
The Meridian Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) was established through the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 in an effort to combat some of the challenges associated with a declining economy and escalating foreclosure rates. Alachua County was awarded funding under this program through the Florida Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to acquire and rehabilitate single-family units in designated areas of the County.
Rental Homes
Meridian Behavioral Healthcare owns five (5) rental homes that were purchased using Neighborhood Stabilization program funds to provide affordable housing opportunities for Very Low Income persons and/or households. NSP homes have been fully rehabilitated and brought to housing code by licensed and insured contractors. Housing Choice vouchers accepted.
